Flooring Terms and Conditions

By placing an order, you are offering to purchase a product subject to the following terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price. To contract with Elegant Beds LTD, you must be over 18 years of age and possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable.  Elegant Beds Ltd retains the right to refuse any request made by you. When placing an order, you undertake that all details you provide to us are true and accurate, that you are an authorised user of the credit or debit card used to place your order and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods. All prices advertised are subject to such change.

Our CONTRACT & PAYMENTS

When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement invoice confirming receipt of your order. The confirmation invoice will only be an acknowledgement until your payment has been received.

As from April 2023; All orders under £5,000.00 requires a minimum 20% deposit of the full order upon ordering. The remaining balance is to be paid no later than 24hrs prior to the agreed fitting date.  

For orders over £5,000.00 the full amount is required in full at time of ordering.

Payments can be made via debit, credit, cash or bank transfer. Finance payments will be issued separately which is advised and confirmed at the time of signing the finance agreement. By contracting with Elegant Beds Ltd you are acknowledging the nature and terms of the product sale.

 All fitting dates will be booked at the time of deposit unless stated differently at time of ordering –However If expected longer on any orders dispatch/fitting timescales may vary according to the process of the manufacturers, the customer will be advised at the earliest convenience. We will always arrange a suitable fitting date for both parties including appropriate timings given at time of booking. Fitting dates are Monday – Friday between hours of 9am – 5pm

All quote deposit payments are honored for a 3month period from the deposit pay date, If the flooring fitting dates are moved by the customer past the 3month time frame the full balance will be requested and a new fitting date arranged. Please also note the original quotation will expire, this is due to any price increases which will reflect on a new quotation and any outstanding monies are to be paid – if no increases have been made in the timeframe the new quotation may not change. Liaison with the office will be required urgently to arrange new fitting dates if cannot be fitted within the 3month period from the deposit being paid.

All deposits are non-re-fundable once paid for any item. All flooring is cut/packed to each individual order therefore if a cancellation is requested less than 20 working days prior to the arranged or estimated fitting date a refund will be refused. The title of all goods above remains in the property of Elegant Beds LTD until paid for in full.

Providing payment has been settled in full, the order can be held in our warehouse until ready for fitting within a suitable timescale agreed between the customer and manager.

 If you experience an order discrepancy on the invoice issued, please email; info@elegant-beds.co.uk, call or visit the showroom which must be done within 48hrs of purchase to amend said order correctly. It is solely the responsibility of the customer to check their invoice upon ordering to ensure the order is correct i.e., flooring range, colour, pile weight for carpets, and plank sizes for LVT/laminate. If the order is delivered for fitting with any discrepancies not being raised prior, refunds will be refused due to all items being cut/packed to customers measurement requirements.

 

QUOTATION/SERVICES

A measure service and quotation will be booked prior to any formal quotations being issued. A suitable date and time will be arranged with both parties between Monday – Friday – 9am – 5pm.

If the measure service is declined by the customer, ANY measurements provided by the customer and are then discovered as incorrect on the day of fitting Elegant Beds LTD are not held responsible for any errors if measurements aren’t provided by the company. Extra costings will occur if to rectify the measurements and additional flooring to be ordered. No refunds will be authorised for the original flooring.

 We request all current flooring is taken up and disposed prior to the fitting date agreed, however if this is not manageable, we offer an uplift, removal and recycle service – costings will vary from £30 per room +. Please liaise with a member of staff to accurately quote dependent on the room size and flooring type for recycling.

 Please ensure all furniture is removed from the room(s) required for flooring fitting, any room(s) booked for new flooring are required to be cleared and current flooring uplifted and removed.

 If the flooring is not taken up without our flooring uplift service arranged prior or any furniture is left in the room(s) which Elegant Beds are not made aware of prior to fitting and the fitting team arrives. The fitters have the right to refuse fitting, and a new fitting date may need to be arranged – please be aware additional costings i.e. fitting charges may incur for loss of time and re-charged for new fitting dates.

Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date the quotation is issued to the customer – excluding promotional offers, if a sale offer ends prior to the 30 days the quotation will become invalid if confirmation of the order is not agreed as per the terms set out above.

RETURNS/EXCHANGES

We would like you to have only a pleasant experience with your purchase.

Please note if there is no faults or damage to the item, unfortunately we are unable to refund/exchange due to all items made to order.

In the unlikely event that a manufacturing issue should arise, during the first year from the date of fitting we undertake to repair or replace (at our discretion) any part, or all the product that is defective, completely free of charge. In subsequent years, a sliding scale of charges based on usage as per the below,  plus fitting and transport costs comes into effect:

 Year 1 – FOC Replacement, Year 2 -20% , Year 3  -40% , Year 4  -60%  and Year 5 – 80%.

Please ensure all items are accompanied with a receipt/Invoice.

 All flooring ranges come with a warranty varied between 1- 15-year guarantee; please speak to the office regarding the product and range for specific details. The guarantee period starts from the day your purchase was fitted. Flooring which requires a refund or exchange due to faults/damage, please note the original item needs to be returned to ensure a replacement can be re-fitted. Before any return is accepted; one of our team will inspect the item and notify of the status for exchange eligibility, please allow up to 5 days for a response.

 

If the fault is deemed and accepted by Elegant Beds Ltd as a manufacturing issue, the part will be replaced within the first year of purchasing from the date of item delivery, as stated above. Wherever possible, replacement product will be like for like. However, in the event a particular material or style is no longer available, we reserve the right to substitute the nearest equivalent from our current range.

If your return is accepted, the payment will be via Bank Transfer -Please allow up to 3-5 working days. We reserve the right to charge for the uplift and removal of the flooring identified and accepted, which will be deducted from the refund total owed (Please speak to the office, A quotation for the charge costs as this will depend on the type of flooring, m2 of the room(s) and uplift/removal service required – If flooring is taken up by the customer the full refund may be refused and void due to any possible damage being caused to the flooring. Full fitting charges are not included in any refund.

 

If a customer is not happy with their order due to personal preference, we cannot accept any returns and we do no give refunds as all products are specially cut to the customer room measurements.

**PLEASE INSPECT ALL ITEMS ON RECEIPT OF FITTING FOR ANY EXTERNAL DAMAGE BEFORE ACCEPTING THE DELIVERY**. Before any installation, we would request you to make a visual check for any damages. Once the flooring is fully fitted, we may be unable to accept any returns. Any damages must be notified to us within 48hrs of your fitting date.
