Beds and Mattresses Terms and Conditions
By placing an order, you are offering to purchase a product subject to the following terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price. To contract with Elegant Beds LTD, you must be over 18 years of age and possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable. Elegant Beds Ltd retains the right to refuse any request made by you. When placing an order, you undertake that all details you provide to us are true and accurate, that you are an authorised user of the credit or debit card used to place your order and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods. All prices advertised are subject to such change.
CONTRACT & PAYMENTS
When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement invoice confirming receipt of your order. The confirmation invoice will only be an acknowledgement until your payment has been received.
As from April 2023; All orders under £5,000.00 requires a minimum 20% deposit of the full order upon ordering. The remaining balance is to be paid no later than the time of booking your delivery slot.
For orders over £5,000.00 the order is required in full at time of ordering.
Payments can be made via debit, credit, cash or bank transfer. Finance payments will be issued separately which is advised and confirmed at the time of signing the finance agreement. By contracting with Elegant Beds Ltd you are acknowledging the nature and terms of the product sale.
The sale will be processed and arranged for delivery booking approx. 3-4 weeks’ timescale, if expected longer on any orders dispatch times may vary according to the process of the manufacturers, the customer will be advised at the earliest convenience. We will always arrange a suitable delivery date for both parties including appropriate delivery times given 1 day prior to delivery – delivery dates are Monday – Friday between hours of 9am – 5pm.
Providing payment has been settled in full, the order can be held in our warehouse until ready for delivery within a suitable timescale agreed between the customer and manager.
The title of all goods above remains in the property of Elegant Beds LTD until paid for in full.
If you experience an order discrepancy on the invoice issued, please email; info@elegant-beds.co.uk, call or visit the showroom which must be done within 48hrs of purchase to amend said order correctly. It is solely the responsibility of the customer to check their invoice upon ordering to ensure the order is correct i.e.; size, fabric, colour, name of item (bed, mattress or flooring). If the order is made and delivered with any discrepancies not being raised prior, refunds will be refused due to all items being made to order.
RETURNS/EXCHANGES
We would like you to have only a pleasant experience with your purchase.
Please note if there is no faults or damage to the item, unfortunately we are unable to refund/exchange due to all items made to order.
Sale item beds and coil sprung mattresses – hold a 1-year manufacturer warranty.
Standard priced items – hold a 5-year manufacturer warranty.
Ex display items hold no warranty and are sold as seen.
In the unlikely event that a manufacturing issue should arise, during the first year from the date of delivery we undertake to repair or replace (at our discretion) any part, or all the product that is defective, completely free of charge. In subsequent years, a sliding scale of charges based on usage plus transport costs comes into effect as follows:
Year 1 – FOC Replacement, Year 2 -20% , Year 3 -40% , Year 4 -60% and Year 5 – 80%.
Please ensure all items are accompanied with a receipt/Invoice.
For all orders which require an exchange/refund due to faults/damage, please note the item needs to be returned in its original packaging or if has been deemed used/slept on we can refuse the right to accept any refunds/exchanges due to hygiene reasons and therefore a refund will not be offered.
Before any return is accepted; one of our team will inspect the item and notify of the status for exchange eligibility, please allow up to 5 days for a response.
If the fault is deemed and accepted by Elegant Beds Ltd as a manufacturing issue, the part will be replaced within the first year of purchasing from the date of item delivery, as stated above. Wherever possible, replacement product will be like for like. However, in the event a particular material or style is no longer available, we reserve the right to substitute the nearest equivalent from our current range.
If your return is accepted, the payment will be via Bank Transfer -Please allow up to 3-5 working days. We reserve the right to charge an additional delivery fee for the collection of the item(s) in line with our delivery policy. All delivery charges are non-refundable.
If a customer is not happy with their order due to personal preference, we cannot accept any returns and we do no give refunds as all products are specially made to order.
All deposits are non-refundable once paid for any item. All Beds are made to order therefore if a cancellation is requested less than 20 working days prior to the arranged or estimated delivery date a refund will refused.
**PLEASE INSPECT ALL ITEMS ON RECEIPT OF DELIVERY FOR ANY EXTERNAL DAMAGE BEFORE ACCEPTING THE DELIVERY**.
Before any installation, we would request you to make a visual check for any damages. Once the items are assembled, we may be unable to accept any returns. Any damages must be notified to us within 48rs of receiving your delivery.
SIZING & MEASURING
Please ensure measurements are requested for ALL bed frames & sizes on ordering. Upon delivery if the item is unable to fit up the stairs/access the room required, Elegant Beds Ltd are not to be held responsible, Measurements are at the customers risk*.
All beds are made to order at the standard size shown, you can request a bespoke size (extra charge included) to ensure the order is the correct height/size for delivery. Elegant Beds Ltd are not held liable for any damage which may be caused to the property if the item (example; Headboard) is larger than standard and the customer confirms the delivery service of; delivered, taken to room and/or fully assembled.
BED AND MATTRESS RECYCLING
All bed and mattress recycling are required to be dismantled upon delivery arrival. The delivery drivers have the right on delivery to refuse any removals if not dismantled prior, in poor/unpleasant conditions or if left outside due to weather conditions.
